Description
Saddleback Student Ministries (SSM) Families,
SSM BEACH Camp is designed to give students a life changing experience through awesome
relationships, fun new experiences and exciting devotional times.
Inside this packet you will find all of the information you need to send your student to camp. If you
have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

This state beach is 3 miles south of the city of San Clemente on Interstate 5 at Basilone Road. Group
Camp Sites Between 66 & 67
STUDENT CHECK-IN
Begins at 9:00am on Sunday, June 25th at the San Clemente Campus Student Ministries Room.
Breakfast will be served. Students will be shuttled to the San O campsite following the 11:00 service.
Parents must check-in at the table with your student. Your student MUST have a completed Liability
Forms in order to check in. Your student is allowed 1 duffle bag of clothing, 1 sleeping bag and 1
pillow. Additional bags will be sent back home with parents and can be dropped off directly at the
camp site if desired. (i.e. surf boards, extra towels and toiletry items etc.) Please clearly label your
students items.
Your student will receive a name tag with the number of his tent and tent leader name.
Please drop off your “family sized snack donation” at the snack table, then walk your students
sleeping bag, and carryon items to the assigned vehicle for transport. Once items are deposited into
the transportation vehicle, they can not be removed until we arrive at the campsite.
During check in you will have the opportunity to purchase an SSM Summer Camp Beach towel, tee
shirt or beanie.
Camp meals are listed below, if your student is unable to eat these items, please pack him/her non
refrigerated bagged meals which can be delivered directly to the San O camp site.
STUDENT PICK-Up
You will pick up your student at the San O Camp grounds. NOT AT THE CHURCH. PICK Up is 12:30
to 1:00 Tuesday, June 27th. Check @SSM.SC on Instagram for updates.
Note: ALL students must be picked up no later than 1:00
PACKING LIST:
• Comfortable, clothes & swimwear for three days. Girls be prepared to wear a cover up or
teeshirt over bathing suits when not in the ocean. (You may be asked to wear one at any time).
• Beach shoes, Sun hat/beanie, Sun screen
• Jacket recommended for free time activities
• Clothes to sleep in
• Toiletries
• Towel to dry with, and beach with.
• Sleeping Bag or “single” sleeping pad/Pillow
• Bible/Journal/Pen
• Flashlight, Water bottle, name clearly marked.
• Spending money for malt/coffee/craft shop ($10 to $20)
• Cell phones; MUST be kept on AIRPLANE MODE
• Snacks for tent sharing.
• 1 Family Size Snack bag donation to Snack Bar
LEAVE THIS STUFF AT HOME:
• Clothing that shows too much cleavage/midriff/Booty.
• Clothing with inappropriate logos/writing
AND DON’T BRING THIS STUFF EITHER:
• iPods /iPads/Tablets
• Portable Video Games
• Pets
• Weapons
• Anything illegal (drugs, alcohol, fireworks, matches, smokes, etc.)
• Inappropriate/pornographic reading material/pictures

11:00am -San Clemente Campus set up for BTW following am
2:00pm –Check in at SanO Campgrounds.
2:30pm Set up Tents, unpack Sub- set up Devotional tables
5:30pm Leader Dinner under the stars
7:00pm -Fire Side Inspirational Message (Guest Speaker TBD)
9:00pm Free Time -roasting marshmallows)
10:00pm Tent Time (Inside voices)
11:00pm Lights Out
Sunday:
6:30am – Early Morning Rise & Shine!
7:00am – Leader & Drivers Meeting (Snack Tent)
7:30am - Drive to SC Campus for breakfast and check in set up
9:00am – STUDENT CHECK IN BEGINS AT SC CAMPUS
11:00am- Student Service SC Campus
12:15pm –Leader & Driver BRIEFING
12:30pm- Student Tribes Board bus/cars/Shuttle Back to SanO Camp
1:00pm – Lunch & Free Time (Beach, surf, sand games etc.)
5:30pm – Tribe tent check in! (All students on site, no leaving for the night)
5:45pm - Evening Dinner Blessing
6:00pm – Dinner
7:30pm - Fire Side worship & message with Pastor Ryan
8:15pm -Snack shack opens for those in attendance at fireside worship. (snack shop,
roasting marshmallows)
9:00pm – Tribe ON SITE Free Time (Open Mic, Roaps games, shower, soccer etc.)
10:00pm– TRIBE TENT CHECK IN.
10:10pm -Tent Time Devotionals (Inside voices)
11:00pm– Lights Out
MONDAY:
7:00am -Early Morning Worship/Devotional (optional)-Fire Pit with Pastor Ryan.
7:30am -Counselor/Leader Meeting (Snack Tent)
8:30am -Breakfast Blessing /Brief Morning Message
9:00am -TRIBE Breakfast TOGETHER & free time
12:00 -Tent Tribe Check IN
12:10 -Lunch Blessing
12:15 -Tribes checked in together eat lunch
1:00 -Devotional Message and break out groups for devotionals
2:00 -Free time
5:30pm – Tribe tent check in! (All students on site, no leaving for the night)
5:45pm - Evening Dinner Blessing with Pastor Ryan
6:00pm – Dinner
7:30pm -Fire Side Worship & Message with Pastor Ryan

11:00 – Tent & Gear Pack up by Tribe.
12:00 Lunch (for tribes packed up and tents checked in)
12:30 - Parent Pick up begins
2:00 Adult Leaders Gear haul to church

Forms
In order for your student to attend camp, we MUST have the liability form filled out NO STUDENT
WILL BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE CAMP EARLY OR WITH ANYONE OTHER THAN PARENT WITHOUT
PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT.
Camp RULES
FOR TENTS & TRIBES:
1. No one is allowed in tents belonging to a member of the opposite sex
2. No camper is allowed in another tent without permission
3. No campers are permitted to leave their tents after the campers have been sent to their tents for the
night.
4. All campers are to repeat the leaders directives, and camp ground rules.
5. You and your student are financially responsible for any damage done to tents and camping
equipment. This includes any accidental damage due to horse-play.
GENERAL GUIDELINES:
1. Be at all meetings on time
2. Stay within the boundaries of camp
3. Respect camp staff and counselors
4. Respect Camp Director (even if you disagree)
5. No Pranks. No exceptions
6. Don’t do dumb stuff – use common sense and consider the consequences of your actions
PRAYING FOR CAMP
• Pray for your student’s heart.
- That God would be preparing their heart for authentic life change.
• Pray that God would speak through camp leaders, that His words would be clear, and that
student’s hearts would be receptive.
• Pray for your student’s counselors
- That God would prepare their hearts to lead their Tribe
- That He would give them wisdom to minister to the needs of your students.
• Pray that students would have TONS of fun!
• Pray for your student to connect with:
- Jesus , Other students, SSM Leaders & staff
• Pray for evening tent times
• Pray that students would have the discipline to continue with the decisions and changes that
began this weekend
• As a parent, pray for your heart:
- That God would give you the right questions to ask your student
- That God would help you have good spiritual conversations with your student when
they return.
